It's been a few years since I have posted a fossil for sale on eBay, but it's a rainy day here in Indiana so why not? :). Rare is a worn out word on eBay but I can't come up with a better word to describe this beautiful part/counterpart Furca fossil from the Lower Ordovician , Upper Fazouata Fm. Near Zagora, Morrocco. The body of the bug is 3cm long and over 2cm wide at its widest point. Notice how the bug is naturally nested on a circular piece of matrix that fits seamlessly into the counter part matrix like a glove. The various antennae are apparent on the specimen (see photos). The fossils is 100% natural and authentic in every way, and it could use some additional prep work. The person who found the bug glued a chip of the body back in place in the field, and there has been no restoration done. The overall hard matrix is 6.5" long x 4.5" wide x 1.25" thick . Furcas are rarely offered for sale and asking price for single specimens, not part/counterpart specimens like I am offering here normally start at around $1000 and go up from there. Shipping is free to lower 48 states . International buyer including Canada will pay for expedited air freight service. I will not ship anything to Canada by way of Canadian postal service.Furca ( Latin for "fork") is an extinct genus of Marrellomorph arthropod known from the Sandbian stage (upper
