Trio of Primitive Handmade Summer Sunflower Make-Dos in Vintage Wood Spools

~Hello and welcome to my auction~

In this listing, I am offering a trio of wonderful large primitive sunflowers that I have created for your Summer decorating! The sunflower make-dos would look delightful standing on the mantel, on a windowsill or on top of an old shelf or cupboard. They can be placed anywhere you would like a bit of Summer cheer!

The sunflowers are made out of osnaburg and have a double layer of petals. The centers are created out of wool and have been hand stitched in place with a bit of batting underneath. I stained the sunflowers with my coffee/vanilla mixture and stiffened them to hold their shape. The sunflowers measure about seven inches across and are attached to real dried branches. On one of the sunflowers, I have attached a prim little bee which was handmade by me also.

I created the "leaves" for the sunflowers out of green ticking homespun....they have been stained, dusted with spices and stiffened a bit also. The leaves are tied to the branches.

I secured the branches inside of three old vintage wood spools of some sort. I placed a bit of moss around the tops of the spools. I tied a prim tag to the tallest make-do with the words "Summer Sunflowers" stamped on it.

The sunflower make-dos measure between 14" and 17" tall.
