U.S.WWI khaki First Aid Kit PB & Co. dated 1918

The item for sale is a U.S.WWI khaki First Aid Kit that includes a sealed August 1918 dated First aid Packet containing a sterile medicated wound bandage. The khaki First aid kit is complete, and both snaps function well and snap securely. The brass belt hanger has a nice aged brass patina to it and the canvas (Khaki) cloth has no fraying or tears. The inside of the flap is marked P B & CO. 1918. Along with the letters "LB". The snaps and attaching wire are made of brass that shows considerable age and the blueing is mostly replaced by patina on the Right hand front snap button. The fabric has no tears and the stitching is solid. The First Aid packet is sealed and contains a sterile wound bandage. The metal container is marked "First Aid Packet-U.S.Army, Contract August, 1918, Bauer & Black Chicago, U.S.A. To Open Pull Ring, Patent applied for.". The metal (Brass) container is painted Army Brown, and has some dents, wear, and chipped paint, but appears to remain hermetically sealed. Overall condition is Very Good.
