Treadle Sewing Machine

When my father-in-law died, the family homestead was sold, and we found many unexpected treasures in the attic. This was one -- the family sewing machine for many years, until moved to the attic in the 1920's. I believe it will still work -- the needle goes up and down when the wheel is cranked, and the foot treadle moves up and down. (T's nothing connecting the two to know for sure.) Once cleaned up, it looks to be in very good condition. I didn't touch the contents of the drawers -- which are full of parts for the machine, I believe, and even an instruction book. (Also you'll find some old buttons, lace, hooks and eyes, and assorted sewing miscellanea.) The drawers pull out nicely, and are undamaged. The only damage is pictured -- the peeling on the top near the hinge of the extension table. T are some signs of age, of course, the decals on the machine are not perfect, and t's some spotting to the wood. Check out this website for more information on this historical find!!!
