COPPER POT This is a unique and interesting old piece that has been in my sister-in-law's family for many years. I have not seen one like this before, but I believe it was used as a coffee pot. It stands about 11 1/2" high and is 8" at the widest point. A smaller brown graniteware enamel pot with a metal (tin?) lid and spout nests inside of the copper holder. The last picture shows how the copper is cut out w the spout goes. Each part has its own handle. Possibly the liquid was heated in the smaller one and carried out to the fields when the people went off to work. I have not attempted to clean or polish this. It has a few minor dings, but I like it just the way it is. Please email me with questions or comments.
