UNUSUAL Dual-Key BRONZE SALESMAN SAMPLE Early Factory CutAway Padlock

ANTIQUE SALESMAN SAMPLE CUTAWAY PADLOCK EARLY EXAMPLE REQUIRING 2 KEYS TO OPERATE

This is an extremely interesting and unique cut-away lock from the estate of Paul Vaverchak, long-time lock and key collector, and Master Locksmith. Many of you will remember him fondly from the Lancaster shows. There are many more vintage Cut-Away locks and also 1,000's of keys to be sold, so please bookmark seller, kleenax.

Very unusual and unique lock, requiring the use of one key (turned counter-clockwise) to change the setting in the unique indicator window from "THRO" to "WAY" before then inserting the 2nd key (turned clock-wise) to open the lock. Utilizing both keys, the lock works perfectly. Inscribed, "RICHARDS BRAGG & CO, NEW YORK".

Notice that both keys have been repaired with the use of what appears to be silver-solder on the bit. They both work well in doing their job of opening the lock when used together.
