Up for bid is a very nice vintage Coca Cola blackboard advertising sign , believed to have been manufactured in 1956. The sign stands 27-1/2" high x 19-5/8" wide and has a profile of about 1/2 to 5/8" deep. Originally made to be a blackboard type sign that would go in a delicatessen for pricing out sandwiches, along with the sale of Coke products, yet at some point in it's lifespan it made it's way to a barbershop. The blackboard or in this case green board has had the services from the barbershop painted in a off -white paint right on top of where one would generally use chalk. It appears that someone tried to erase or scratch out something above the services, though it is unknown what that might have read. This particular sign was filmed as part of a portion for the new show "Market Warriors" on the "Discovery" channel, last year in Brimfield, MA., but to date that episode has not aired. It is indeed a "One-of-a-kind" type advertising sign and you're not likely to ever see another one like it in less this sign is reproduced.
