Up for bids is a Talavera Uriarte candle stick or candle holder made in Puebla, Mexico. It is painted in the traditional colors of cobalt blue and white. Birds in flight decorate the surface. This classic pattern is versatile and would match any number of Uriarte patterns. Uriarte has been producing high quality pottery since 1824 and is certified by the Mexican government. Candlestick is fully marked on the bottom and measures 11 inches tall. The bottom is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. Since the hole runs all the way through the piece, it could be wired to make a wonderful lamp. In a separate auction, I have a pair of Uriarte mugs that match beautifully. I found them together at an estate sale where there were many quality items. Email if you have questions and I will answer promptly. Thanks for looking! Candle holder weighs just under 2 pounds before packing. Finished weight will be 2-3 pounds for careful packing and safe arrival. I do not charge extra for handling or materials. I am happy to combine shipping!
