Since ancient times small Uzbek handicrafts took one of the main places in our daily lives.One of the most interesting parts of the Folk Art of Uzbekistan is embroidered bag. The Uzbek bags amaze with the great skill of needlework and a variety of patterns, that's why they've became so popular all over the world. This is a worthy sample of Uzbek mastery and quality of small handmade embroidery. This is a very nice Uzbek Lakay fully embroidered in cotton bag for books. The approximate age of the item is 1980s. The item has beautiful and colourful Lakay design. The pattern of the embroidery is composed of geometrical lines resembling the cotton flower and stylized ram's horns which symbolize strength. Handmade embroidery is made in "Iroqi" technique - cross stitch. The backside is made of velour fabric of red color. The item has a handle made of the traditional band and decorated with many tassels with colourful beads. This beautiful item can be used as a wall decoration. Stitch: iroqi.
