Hello & Welcome! You are bidding on a vintage anthropomorphic dish made by Valona Starr of California. It is a quality piece of pottery and made very well. I think the piece represents an onion but am not positive so I will let you decide. The face is absolutely adorable and so well done. The onion is marked Valona Starr incised into the bottom as well as the number 304. It also has a C in a circle followed by the number 51 so I'm thinking it was made in 1951. The onion is in perfect condition with no damage whatsoever. It is bright yellow in color with orange blush on the cheeks and bright red lips. The face is dimensional with the cheeks, eyes, and nose all protruding along with a few dimples. The onion jar measures about 5" in height and is about 4" in width. If you are the winner of this auction, I guarantee you will LOVE this piece! Thank you for viewing my auction! Please check out the other nice items I have listed as I gladly combine on shipping if I can.
