Very Ornate This is a Vernier Radio Dial from the 1920's. This ornate dial fits a quarter inch tuning shaft and provides a 16 to 1 turns ratio. It requires eight turns of the knob to turn the shaft 180 degrees. It couples to the shaft using a compression sleve. See photo of the parts. This dial measures 4 inches diameter. This is just like the one I listed last week except the markings on the dial aren't as clear in one area. (see photos). The mechanism works freely and smoothly. This makes a great dial for that "vintage" radio or crystal set project. I make every attempt to describe items completely and accurately, and to show any flaws clearly in the photographs. Questions are invited and will be answered promptly.
