My name is Greg Hamson. I am the brother of the Oceanic art dealer Michael Hamson . I have been given the task of helping him sell off some excess inventory. "Wood Yam Mask" Very old Southwest Abelam wood yam mask, this variety is used by a small part of the Abelam well to the west with the border with the Ilahita Arapesh culture. Nice subtle remains of traditional pigments. Note some insect damage on top-right side of mask. This piece comes mounted with it's own custom made stand. Early 20th century. Mask size: 18-1/2 (47cm) Stand is included!
