Victorian Antique Doulton's Elaine Dinner Plate ca 1890

From the collection of Great Aunt Euphania we are pleased to offer you some items by Royal Doulton today. This piece isn't just any old thrift store find, this comes from her own collection of antiques. This place is so old that not even the royal family was using china by this company at this time, please note that the Royal was not yet in use in 1890. Queen Victoria was on the throne, this piece is over 107 years old and maybe a bit older than that. Plate measures about 9 1/2" across. Design is pure Victorian with a center of a potted plant and flowers and whimsy around the edge. Needs a good bath. T is a very tiny chip in the edge, not visible from the top. T is very fine crazing typical of antique china but not darkened severely with age which is nice. Mark is shown in photo number two, please ask if you would like a close up of any area. This would make a perfect wall plate, it was hanging until recently on the wall in my aunts home before she moved in with us.
