FABULOUS VICTORIAN ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER HINGED BANGLE BRACELET EXCELLENT CONDITION Up for auction is an antique Victorian Sterling Silver Bangle Bracelet covered with all manner of roses and other flowers. The bracelet is 10/16" wide and dates from the late Victorian period, around the 1880s. It is not a round shape, but a slight oval (as many Victorian bracelets are). It measures a bit under 2 ½" on the shorter side and a bit over 2 ½" on the longer one. I have a 7" wrist and it fits me comfortably. The roses are most prominent and dimensional. But t are also three-dimensional zinnias, pansies and buttercups and, of course, leaves. The closure (a tongue which fits into the bracelet's other end) is very secure and it has the original safety chain. T is a little flower which you push down to open the bracelet. It's a really great piece of Victorian silver work and if you win this auction I'm sure you will enjoy wearing it. Some Victorian bracelets are not sterling silver, but I believe that this one is. Through a loop you can see a barely perceptible mark on the tongue part of the latch, which I believe is a sterling mark. This antique bracelet is in excellent condition with no imperfections and is very nice and clean. It also still retains its original old patina because I haven't polished it.
