This is a quality item made by Lynch & Co which I think is the mahogany base and the brass parts which are also very well made are stamped white bros plus other writing. The brass parts are brilliantly engineered are very tactile to the touch and in good condition. The only tiny flaw is the concave brass dish has slight bent parts around its outer edge and a couple of small dings but its nothing the whole thing is in great condition for its age.The handle has a long spindle on the inside It has been like this for ever but whether its all original or not I,m not certain. It's a big item it measures 16.5" inches wide x 22" inches tall x 8.5" most of the brass parts unscrew which will help with packing. The wood has a lovely shine to it but as you can see the inside could do with cleaning. The brass weights are a mixture I have 5 graduating small weights with nipple handles that start at 50' then 20, x 2 10's, and a five. Ten I have a Victorian bell weight which has writing inside the base. Then a large 8oz weight and a 2 oz weight which is unusual it has loads of numbers impressed into it.
