Victorian Officers Irish 27th Regiment Shoulder Belt Plate

A rare British / Irish Victorian officers shoulder belt plate of the 27th Inniskilling regiment, used between the 1830s and 1860s, back plate is etched with cross hatching and is gilt plated with the majority of gilt still remaining, to the center is the Inniskilling castle with the Egyptian sphinx below surrounded by a wreath and surmounted by the Victorian crown, to the bottom corners is the numbers 2 and 7 indicating the 27th regiment, fittings are held onto the back by original pins, back of plate still retains its stud and hook fittings, overall a nice unusall shoulder belt pate showing age but still in good condition, was one of two bought from a house clearance in Belfast Northern Ireland in the 1990s.
