Offered is this unusual oil-to-electric Art Nouveau Slag Glass Overlay Lamp with incredible detail and glass. This lamp started out its life as an oil lamp (there are the three attachments under the shade for the oil lamp) and was beautifully converted into an electric lamp many years ago. I found this at an estate sale; it comes from the estate in the Hudson Valley and is being offered for sale on the open market for the first time. This is a big, heavy lamp! The lamp is 28 inches high and the shade is 19 inches across. It is a cast iron base with a bronze finish and the openwork metal overlay is also very heavy and bronzed. The glass is a green/yellow and looks to be all original to the lamp. It has wonderful designs of ribbons and flowers, and is truly a beauty and one-of-a-kind! The condition of this lamp is excellent. It was well converted and is ready to spend the next 100 years in your family!
