For sale is this ~1906 Jack Daniel's Whiskey tin, made by Hudson-Scott & Sons-Ltd (Established 1799) Manufacturers of tin boxes since 1866, made in Carlisle England. A very nice looking box. Inside is a paper note from the Jack Daniels Distillery dated Oct. 1906: "Why I box my goods in tin. Until quite recently custom for my whiskey was simply batchified in barrel lots, and earthware jubs. Tough containers, able to withstand...." Very easy to read. Whisky was from Distillery No. 1 Est. 1866. Looks much better in real than the picture has too much glare from the camera flash.
