Vintage 1930's Kaywoodie Drinkless 7705 With Rare & Unique Synchrostem Stamping
- Source: eBay
Up for sale is a Kaywoodie Drinkless 7705 Medium Billiard Shape. The bowl is nicely grained with some quilting and cross grain. The stem is glossy with some very light tooth marking. There are a few light nicks and dents as well. Overall a nice pipe from the 1930's with a intact 4 hole stinger. The nomenclature reads Drinkless Kaywoodie on the left and Imported Briar 7705 on the right. What is interesting about this pipe is the Synchrostem stamping on the bottom of the shank. Between 1927 and 1931 most Kaywoodie pipes were stamped SYNCHROSTEM PAT. APP. FOR. After the patent was granted the stampings stopped. This pipe is clearly from the later 1930's and is the only one I've ever seen stamped in this way. The pipe measures app. 5 3/8" L x 1 1/2" H with bowl bore of 11/16". It's been reamed, cleaned and waxed. Payment by PayPal only. Payment expected within 48 hours of actions end. I will combine shipping on up to 3 pipes for the same price just email me. Pipe rest in photos is not included in auction.
