This auction is for a vintage 1940 menu from the Hotel Paso del Norte in El Paso, Texas. Cover features a black-and-white illustration of Catholic Franciscan missionary Fray Garcia de San Francisco by noted artist Tom Lea. There is a Table D'Hote Dinner sheet dated Sunday, April 18, 1940 which is affixed to the inside left page of the menu with old-style photo corners. Also included is a small loose insert sheet with Bohemian Style Dinner selections. Back cover features a brief historical written sketch of Garcia de San Francisco's mission in the El Paso area. When folded, menu measures approx. 8-1/2" x 11-1/2". Loose Bohemian Style Dinner sheet measures approx. 5-1/2" x 7-1/4". All pages are shown above. Note that the "moonchildbooks" blurb does not appear on the actual menu. Please read this description and review the close-up scans carefully. Menu has bumped, worn corners and some edge wear. Bottom left corner of the front cover has flattened corner creases. Menu surfaces have soil, discoloration, fading, and stains including a stain along the front cover fold and a shorter stain at the bottom of the fold inside the menu. Menu surfaces have "not smooth" areas from handling. NO writing anywhere. NO weird or musty odors.I prefer to offer this menu in an auction format and not with a Buy-It-Now price. I am happy to combine orders
