Vintage 1940s Catalina Art Pottery Head Vase Rare BLUE

Offered today for your consideration is another outstanding and extremely rare piece of art pottery. This piece is by Catalina Potteries of California. It is a head vase featuring the head and shoulders of a woman wearing a babushka, or head scarf, and holding her hands up next to her head. Her hands form the vase part of this lovely piece. The glaze on this vase is thick and creamy as were all of Catalina's high quality glazes, and the best part about it is that it is in the sought-after aqua blue color!

This beautiful vase measures approximately 8" tall by " wide at its tallest/widest points . It is in absolutely perfect condition with no flaws that I can find. It is marked on the bottom: Catalina Pottery, C801, Made in the USA. This is a very graceful piece, and because of its rarity, shipping insurance will be required. Don't miss out on this one!
