Offered for consideration is a vintage estate chrome art deco Hammond desk clock in very good working and cosmetic condition having some age character spotting just starting on its chrome trim, second hand and black enamel paint finish. Glass appears to need a cleaning as there are some smudges and dots on it. Clock most likely was made in the 1940's and has a spin start mechanism on its back which requires a spin of a pinwheel on its back to get its motor going. Has a working alarm with on / off switch on its back control panel. Its original patent date is 1,719,805 and its last is 2,027,531. Its cord was recently replaced and is in nice clean pliable condition. Clock measures 5.25 wide by 4.38 tall and has a back stand to sit at a very slight angle. Heavy and well made in the United States of America by the Hammond Instrument Company, Chicago, Illinois and weighs 1 pound and 14 ounces Would make a great fathers day present or addition to any collection.
