VINTAGE 1945 HARMONY STELLA H918.

NO STEEL REINFORCED NECK PROBABLY DUE TO WWII EFFORTS.

THE REINFORCED NECK PROBABLY CAME LATER.

IT HAS AN EBONY NUT, THE LATER ONES I'VE OWNED HAD PLASTIC NUTS.

THE TUNERS ARE REAL NICE ON THIS ONE. NO SHRINKAGE OR CRACKING TO THE BUTTONS AND THE GEARS WORK FINE WITH VERY LITTLE PLAY.

TUNER PLATES LOOK GOOD WITH JUST A LITTLE SURFACE RUST THAT SHOULD CLEAN UP WELL.

I'VE FIXED UP A COUPLE OF HARMONY STELLAS AND WAS SURPRISED TO FIND HOW GOOD THEY SOUND AND HOW EASY THEY ARE TO PLAY WHEN SET UP PROPERLY. I JUST HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS AND NOT ENOUGH TIME OR SPACE.

SHE'LL NEED A NECK SET AS JUST ABOUT ANY OLD GUITAR WILL.

THE BRACES ALL SEEM TIGHT. I SEE NO GAPS AND THERE IS NO RATTLING OR THUDS WHEN I TAP ON THE TOP OR BACK.

THERE IS A TIGHT CRACK ON THE TOP ON THE BASS SIDE OF THE TAILPIECE. SHOULD BE AN EASY FIX.

ALSO 2 SMALL HOLES NEAR THE ENDPIN AT THE BASE OF THE TAILPIECE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE FROM. MAYBE SOMEONE MOUNTED A PICKUP?

VERY MINOR WEAR TO THE FINISH,NOT BAD AT ALL.
