Vintage 1950's Wedding Bridal Dress

The dress is made from a heavy crepe like material so it hangs beautifully. The fish tail bottom part has a small metal strip in the hem at the back to keep it weighted down. The dress has sequins and beads accross the front and back with have oxidised over time and are now a pearly grey colour giving it a real vintage look. You will notice that a few sequins are missing in the right hand corner, I do have some of the orginal sequins you could sew back on. The dress does up with a single zip at the back and a hook at the very top.

The dress is sleek and fitted and very much like the dress Pippa Middleton wore as bridesmaid at Kates wedding in terms of shape. There is no significant flaws with this dress but it may need a press and dry clean as there one or two very sligtht marks. Having said this they are not noticeable unless you really have a good look.

I beleive this dress was hand made and as such there is some scope for alterations, either letting it out or taking it in. I originally purchased it from an antique dealer in London a few years ago so it has been well cared for. The measurements are as follows:

Length 54 inches

Waist 27 inches

Bust 30 inches

Hips 34-35 Inches
