Vintage AIR FRANCE 1950s Travel Poster

This is a gorgeous 1950s (1956?) original advertising print from AIR FRANCE, "Le plus grand réseau aérien du Monde" or "The world's largest Airline." It is signed by artist E. Lancaster and pictures some of the most famous Paris landmarks.

In the center is the giant Obelisk of Luxor, a gift from Egypt in the 1830s, that once marked the entrance to the Luxor Temple in Egypt. The other landmarks are (clockwise from top left) Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Cœur, Notre Dame, and Winged Horse.

Condition is Excellent. Color is rich. Some fraying along edges, as well as damage from push-pins on the top two corners.

The right edge is signed "E. Lancaster". The bottom of the poster reads "No.5 SeriesAF. 20.050 P/4.56 Direction Artistique Jean Carlu" on the left, and "Printed in France IMP . A. Karcher-Paris" on the right.

PLEASE NOTE: Photos include both actual Poster and (last image) a professionally photographed example of same poster.
