Vintage/Antique Henry Disston & Sons Skew-Back 6 tpi. Handsaw circa 1896-1917

Vintage Henry Disston & Sons 'D-8' 6 tpi. skew-back handsaw circa 1896-1917. The age determination was acquired by referencing the Medallions section of the "Disstonian Institute" ( free online ). The handsaw is 29" in length from the handle 'horns' to the toe of the blade; it's 2 1/2" in height at the toe and 7" in height at the handle. The handle has some small nicks and paint smudges, as well as older chipping around the attachment screw holes. The lower heel of the saw has a stamped '7' near the mild descending blade edge ( I count 6 tpi. ) , the Disston D-8 'keystone' logo is clearly visible on the blade face as well as the quote " For beauty, finish and utility this saw cannot be excelled" Henry Disston. This is a highly usable original tool ( still sharp and set ) and due to its age, also displays exceptionally well ( See photos )-----------sold as is---------- - **** if you would like tracking confirmation simply add an additional $1.00 to the listed price, I am willing to combine shipping on items purchased from the same day auctions; if you'd like to take advantage of this option please contact me prior to paying for any item.
