When manufacturing operations by Barclay ceased toy production in April of 1942 to allow all rubber to be used by the American Military for the WW II war effort. This set was a result of their process resuming again in 1945. In an effort to use up remaining white rubber tires, after the switch to the black synthetic rubber tires, these cabs and trailers were produced for a reletively short period of time. A set in any condition is scarce and is a rare find. This set is in very good condition. Part of what prohibits this set from being mint is the tab on the lower ramp is missing and the previous owner bent the tab up to hold the cars from rolling off. It is still a very fine specimen that should be in your vintage Barclay Collection.
