Blatz Beer Sign - Vintage Long Neck Bottle Man with Sign I believe this display is from the 1950s. My father inherited it when he bought a liquor store way back in 1967...who knows how long the display was t! It appears to be made of metal, except for the sign, which is wood. It's in good condition for its age, but t are some wear marks and some paint has chipped off. Just want to make you aware of some of these things: T is paint missing from the tip of the man's nose. Paint has flaked off the brown part of the bottle, but the labels are pretty well intact. The base shows a fair amount of paint wear. The mug can pivot somewhat, which leads me to believe that it was once attached at two points, but now is only attached at one point. Nothing a little super glue couldn't take care of. T is a small area of discoloration (lighter than the rest of the area) on the front of the sign label. The label on the sign is also slightly peeling back (visible on the photo - upper right corner) from the wood base, but the label is not creased. It needs some tender loving cleaning, but I figured that someone who collects these would know better how to do that than me. E-mail me if you would like to see additional pictures. I don't have a professional level zoom on my camera, but I'll try to zoom in as best I can.
