This stunning brass dresser tray is adorned with 18 striking glass jewels of various sizes, shapes and colors. Its base is made up of a lovely original piece of lace sandwiched between two layers of glass, and it rests on four ball feet. On the base it bears the mark: E. & J.B Pat. Apld. For (this is visible, though difficult to make out, in the last photo of the slide show). The tray itself measures 7.5" in diameter and the handles add just less than an inch on each side, and it is about an inch high including the feet. I do not know the exact age, but it appears to date to the 1920's or earlier. It looks to be in reasonably good condition, and may improve with a good cleaning. It does appear as though some of the gold finish has worn off, giving it a tarnished, antiqued look. The lace has a tea-stained appearance to it, but I do not know what color it was originally. Please view the slide show for additional photos of this beautiful piece, and feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for looking!
