WELCOME! Here's a most unusual design in a pair of brass broochesor pins connected by a chain -- a so-called "chatelaine pin" - depicting one large and one small bird, each of which has a faux mabe pearl accenting its body. The design of the birds looks very much World War II era, possibly late Art Deco. Each bird pin fastens with a C-clasp. Both clasps work perfectly. The larger bird measures approximately 3 inches by 1 5/8 inches. The smaller bird measures approximately 1 inch by just over 1 1/8 inches. The chain between the two birds is approximately 5 3/4 inches long. The chatelaine pin is in very good condition, considering its age, showing minor scratches, but this is still a remarkably intriguing and beautiful design, well worth displaying or wearing and enjoying.
