Vintage embroidered table topper w/ Latina dancers for Cinco de Mayo - NR
Please scroll down for more photos. This embroidered table topper probably dates to the 1930s or 1940s and features Latina dancers in each corner, a border of colorful flowers and hand crochet edging. It measures 30 & 1/2 inches by 29 & 1/4 inches; I've pictured it layered on a print tablecloth but it would also look lovely on a solid color tablecloth.
I just love the unusual fabric that was chosen for this piece. It's a medium weight light beige slubbed cotton with a home spun look. The slubs are woven in two shades of blue, red and off white and they coordinate very nicely with the dancer's gown and the flowers. This table topper has no holes, stains or unpleasant odor. If you enjoy decorating for Cinco de Mayo with a vintage flair then this charming table topper is for you!
