Vintage Folding Wooden Luggage Stand Leather Straps Faux Bamboo Turnings

This vintage folding luggage stand is 20" high when opened and the top is 22 x 14". The wood has been turned to give it double rings like bamboo. The finish is medium to dark, and I don't know what kind of wood it is. The straps are 2" wide and double thick. They look like black leather. There is no leather smell so maybe they are an early kind of vinyl fabric, I honestly cannot tell. They are fastened to the bottom of the rack with brass colored metal plates. This rack has a great look to it, very masculine, as these often tend to have flower-patterned straps and be kind of feminine.

I got it from an estate where the woman said it had belonged to her grandparents, so I assume it is from the earlier part of the 20th century perhaps up to 1950 at the latest. These live on the floor, get folded and stowed in closets and generally knocked around, and this one does have some very minor signs of age. But overall it is really in remarkable condition.

When folded this is 23.5" tall and just 3" wide. Fits so nicely out of sight when you don't need it for a suitcase. But why put it away? These are great at the end of the bed for the quilt, great to put a large tray on it next to your chair - many uses and so functional. I am listing another one today also, so please
