Vintage FUJI TORII Screen Handpaint Japan Antique SILK

Original Vintage FUJI-TORII Hand painted Screen.
This was purchased in Japan in the late 50's to early 60's.
FUJI-TORII Screens are considered to be very special in Japan.
They are often given as gifts to visiting dignitaries.
FUJI-TORII first began producing traditional hand painted screens in the 1940's.
Only the very best traditional Japanese artists are commissioned to paint these screens. I am currently in contact with FUJI-TORII in the hopes of finding out who the artist is, (or was) that painted this particular screen. Any findings I receive will be added to the description later in the auction.
This particular screen has four panels. Each panel is gold silk, with a cream brocade border, and framed in black lacquered wood.
This screen depicts a traditional Japanese countryside scene with Mountains, river, hut, and a man in a small boat.
The screen is quite beautiful.
Because the screen is gold silk, it absolutely GLOWS in all types of light.
This screen is meant to hang flat on a wall.
Screen comes in its original box, and is in perfect vintage condition.
It was obviously well cared for, and always stored in the box when not in use.
