Old fully forged bolstered carbon steel chef knife, 10.25" balde 15.5"+ OAL. Hardwood handle is held tight with three brass rivets. Blade is about 85% to 90% full (it has a bit of a hollow or 'banana' on the edge from steeling, I would be happy to realign the edge and sharpen if the buyer so wishes) Blade has soem light pitting/pepper spotting but nothing distracting or out of character for a knife of this age, blade is just about as straight as a hand forged knife that has been used plenty can be. No visible stamp on blade. It's most unusual feature that might just be the key to it's future identification is a poured pewter fill 'inlay between the handle scale and the bolster, very much like how black epoxy gets used as a filler on modern knives often. Handle is dark hardwood that has definitly seen some use, aside from some wear and a chip at the pommel (see photo) it is tight and secure with no gaps. An excellent knife made with extreme skill and ready for another lifetime of use, a great addition to a collection or as a wonderful gift, this is the kind of old knife that is likely to convert someone worthy to the wonders of vintage cutlery. I would be happy to re-align the edge (it has a slight hollow from sharpening) and give it a nice edge at no extra charge. Feel free to ask any questions. As always I offer very fair even generous
