Up for auction is a nice pair of binoculars manufactured by Hertel & Reuss of Kassel, Germany. They produced military optics during the Second World War and commercial optics afterwards, but do not exist today. The binoculars are marked "Hertel & Reuss Optik, Kassel" on side, and "Jagdglas 15x56" on the other. They are 8-3/4 inches in length and weigh 1 pound 13 ounces. T is some scuffing to the black paint on metal. When I look through the lenses, t appears to be a scratch along the top edge of the right lens. The binoculars come in a leather manufacturer's case. The case is in good condition, showing some wear to the leather pull tab of the clasp and some wear round the edges. The shoulder strap is intact with no rips or tears, but does feel more brittle in some areas than in others. T is some splitting in the top back seam of the case. Shipping and Handling I ship quickly, always within one business day of receipt of payment. I request Insurance on this item is optional but recommended, and will be at the expense of the Buyer. I make every effort to accurately represent the merchandise and disclose any flaws in my description and pictures.
