THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL AND DELICATE GUINOMI TYPE SAKE CUP IN A VERY PLEASING SHAPE AND PROPORTION. THE INCISED DETAIL AROUND THE HAND SIGNED SIGNATURE ON THE FOOT OF THE CUP SHOWS IT IS VERY HIGH CLASS. I MADE SEVERAL GOOD PHOTOS OF THIS ONE BECAUSE IT IS SO WELL DONE, WE DO NOT SEE HOW IT COULD HAVE BEEN MADE. HOW CAN AN ARTIST PAINT LIKE THIS, SO FINE AND CLOSE TOGETHER WITH OUT RUNNING INTO ANOTHER LINE?? PLUS, WHEN THEY FORM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CUP ............. WATCH OUT! Be sure you are sitting down when you finish your cup of the finest Daiginjyo Nihonshu you can procure in your native land. Your eye will follow the lines down and into the center of the cup as you tilt it to get every last drop and that is when you will be GRABBED by the eyeball and get real dizzy! Or it did that to me and a Minionette that tried it. (I have Tatami Mats in my Hovel, so if we tip over, it will not hurt much. You may not, so get in a carpeted area at least.) I have one Photo that shows this fairly well, and if you sort of Zen Out a tiny bit and focus on the Center, you can feel it from the Photo even. But, you need to experience it personally by draining a cup as described above. The Minionette was amazed and asked if that is what is meant in English as an "Optical Delusion?"
