Vintage Kenwood Model Eleven Receiver NM but needs help

This auction is for a vintage monster receiver from Kenwood. This is an early unit of the model Eleven (11). If you are looking for a model Eleven then you know the physical size and heft of the unit as well as its performance data. I list this as NM (near mint) cosmetic condition with a near perfect wood case without smashed corners or dents. There are some mars to the top of the case but with some lemon oil these would dissapear. The upper vents are also near perfect without damage such as being pushed in and distorted. The face is also near mint without scratches...only a few light mars near and there. The plastic dial face is near mint without damage. All the bulbs (of which there are many) all light and function (except for the AM lamp). All controls work smoothly. Now for the bad news. I got this for a neighbor who purchased it new... he knew I was a vintage audio nut. I opened her up and cleaned all the pots and lubed where needed. I then bench tested for several days and it worked like a charm. The third day.......something went wrong as the left channel failed and noice and static came out of the left channel regardless of the gain control being fully retarted and there was no program from the left channel...only the static. The right channel continues to operate correctly and without indication of any problem. The left
