is a neat, older, acoustic guitar. I do not play this instrument but I will try to describe it the best I can. On the peg head it say: OLD KRAFTSMAN (the 'OLD' is written horizontally and the 'KRAFTSMAN' is written vertically under 'OLD'. It has ~6~ strings. Altogether it measures approx. 38 3/4" long. It has ~18~ brass frets (14 from the nut to the body). The body measures approx. 18" x 13 1/2". It has no cracks or breaks. The front, back sides have sort of a tiger-stripe look. On the back of the neck it says: STEEL REINFORCED NECK. On the top of the headstock is an embossed letter 'S'. No writing inside that I can see. The Old Kraftsman label was a house brand for the Spiegel mail order company. Spiegal purchased most of its stringed instruments from Chicago manufacturer Kay, and for a short time from the Gibson Company from fall of 1936 through Spring of 1937. I know four digit numbers are Spiegel Catalog numbers and 'S' prefix numbers are Gibson numbers. I only see the letter 'S' on the top of the number inside or out-so I am not sure who made it. Still solid though and still sounds great! It has a few scratches..still in great shape though. A terrific item for a collection...always fun to strum! Hope you're 'picking it', soon! I do not have a case for it but I pack very well. Buyer to pay shipping-accept Visa/Mastercard/Discover.
