Vintage Leonardo Nunes Ukulele

Leonardo Nunes was the son of Manuel Nunes, the man who is said to have invented the ukulele. While this claim may or may not be 100% accurate, what is indisputable is that the Nunes family was responsible for building some of the finest and most beautiful ukuleles the world has ever seen. This particular instrument was built by Leonardo in Los Angeles during the 1930's (as best I can date it). If anyone out there can provide additional information, please do so and it will be included in this description.
It is crafted from flamed Koa and has the trademark Ukulele O Hawaii decal on the headstock. Note that a small section of the decal has been lost to history. Please review the photos and see for yourself the work of art that Leonardo created, approximately 80 years ago. As far I can determine, this instrument is 100% original. There is a repaired crack on the back (approximately 3.75") that has been professionally repaired. It comes with new strings and the case you see in the picture. Additional photos are available upon request.
