Vintage Lesney Matchbox John Deere Trailer (1964) #51-B MINT! Made in England

This is a Lesney Matchbox John Deere Trailer. It is “Series No. 51.” Charlie Mack number51-B. It was issued in 1964, and wasmade in England. This vehicle is from the Regular Wheels series. It is variety number 1. It has a green body and towbar, and gray plastic tires, with yellow-orange wheel rims. The tires are loose, as is usually true of Matchbox cars of this age. The vehicle is in MINT condition, with absolutely no visible signs of wear. Hard to believe in a 49-year-old toy, but true (see photos). You won’t fine one better than this. It would make a great addition to your Matchbox collection!

I'm selling the last part of my vintage Lesney Matchbox collection, which has been undisturbed a climate-controlled environment for thirty years. My parents bought me these cars at the Buffalo/Niagara Falls (NY) Toy Shows in 1980, 1981, and 1982. I played with these vehicles only a few times (and I was always very careful with my toys!) and only inside, before putting them away semi-permanently. The vehicles I am selling now have been moved (by me personally) only twice since my Mom carefully packaged them up in 1983. They were moved once in 1992, and again in 2006. You won't find Matchbox cars in better condition than these unless they're still in their original box!
