The art and collectibles that we are offering to Ebay buyers are special and unique pieces that have been carefully "curated" by us.This vintage brass souvenir from Brussels / Bruxelles, Belgium is a souvenir of Manneken Pis (literally Little Man Pee in Marois, a Dutch dialect spoken in Brussels ---- also known in French as le Petit Julien --- and "little man piss" in English). There are many stories and legends about this small bronze fountain sculpture depicting a little boy urinating into a fountain's basin. It was designed by Hieronymus Duquesnoy the Elder and put in place in 1618 or 1619. Its cultural significance is similar to that of Copenhagen's Little Mermaid.This vintage brass souvenir is approximately 2 1/4" tall.
