Vintage Mexican Sterling Silver Pink Stone Ring "MPC" Welcome! We are delighted to present to you this beautiful vintage Mexican ring, made from sterling silver and hosting a highly faceted pink gemstone (tourmaline?). The stone is held by prongs, and it has an open back, allowing for the maximum amount of light to pass through it. On either side of the ring, two wing designs overlap the band, similar to the wings on the feet of Hermes. The ring has a single band. The ring is a size 6, and thoroughly marked by the maker. It is marked "Mexic." next to an Eagle 3 mark (indicating it was made between the 1940s-1970s), and with the circular stamp of the maker, including the initials "MPC". This maker is noted in the reference book by Billie Hougart, "The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks". The stone measures 1/2" in diameter. Size comparison coin used in pictures is an American dime. It weighs 7.1 grams. The silver has been polished recently and it shines well; t is no damage or wear to the stone.
