VINTAGE Mic Pre and Eq Channel - Yamaha PM1000 - GREAT SOUND, LOW PRICE

Vintage Mic Pre-amp and Eq Channel. All discrete transistor with mic input transformer and 3 band inductor eq. (this is the second one that I am selling at the moment)
This is a channel from the classic Yamaha PM1000 mixing desk. Yamaha built these all discrete desks in the 70s primary as a live board. The layout of the desks was not really that great for live sound engineers and many did not like working on the boards but over the years the channels have been rediscovered by recording engineers for their fantastic sound. This is down to the use of input transformers, discrete transistor circuits, inductor based eq and no IC's to be seen - like all the best desks!
There are very few affordable options left these days for buying totally discrete vintage recording gear but the PM1000s are one of the few exceptions although they are now getting rarer.
I bought a complete desk a number of years back and have used it ever since. My studio set-up front end is based around some Neve 1073s and the PM1000. They were once called the Japanese Neve, a bit silly really because the circuits are quite different BUT I like them as much as the Neves and use them as much. The sound is a liitle bit more up-front than the Neves.
The main channels that I'm am keeping have been modded by increasing the values of the coupling capacitors
