Vintage Mosrite Gospel Guitar by Semie Moseley RARE!
- Source: eBay
I have for sale a Mosrite Gospel guitar in excellent condition for a 40+ year old instrument! Exactly like its sister, the "Ventures" model, this is not a copy as I bought it from the original owner in 1970 who obtained it from a music store in Nashville TN around 1968. If you are familiar with the Semie Moseley story, he made a few of these in the mid '60s when his shop was in California. Kurt Cobain of Nirvana played an instrument exactly like this only he played it left handed and had the wammy bar removed for lefty access (see pic). The pictures tell the story of its condition as well as the detail stamped in the tailpiece and the name and series of guitar with the Cross symbol in a seal on the headstock that was cut to form the Mosrite "M". It has the Mosrite standard slim neck, whammy bar and 2 pickups stamped Mosrite of California , 1 vol/1 tone pot, toggle switch for pickup blend, sunburst finish with scooped outer edge on the top, and enclosed tuners. The serial number stamped in the fretboard is B1695. It's definitely an instrument to add to any vintage guitar collection. It will come with the original hardshell case in pictures that it was in when I purchased it. I will include free shipping and insurance to any of the lower 48 US if the buyer uses... read more
