Up for sale is a beautiful black and white photo of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company in Davenport, Iowa. I purchased this photo at an estate sale and took it out of it's plastic frame and non-archival mat. The photo is black and white and measures 4 1/2" by 9". The photo is in very good condition and has a white edge around it for matting. I'm not clear on the date (maybe early 1920s?) or the print vs. original, etc. If it's a print, it's an old one. This photo was held with masking tape on the back that I did not completely remove because I was concerned about damaging the photo.The Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company had a large operation in Davenport. I can't completely establish where this large facility was, but it may have been in the 400 block of Scott Street in Davenport (near the current courthouse). My father insists it was on Rockingham Road and was destroyed by fire. Perhaps you know and will value this! I just couldn't see it discarded...
