Vintage Seth Thomas Brass Ship's Bell clock - 5.25" DiameterThis auction is for a Seth Thomas Brass ship's clock with chime. Wound the clock up and it runs (I have a universal key to wind it, but the key is not included in the sale). Clock is running and has been running for 7 days; it has kept accurate time ( but may need calibration for your location)..The diameter of the front brass cover is 5.25" in diameter; the center part appears to be about 4.25" in diameter. Face of the clock reads: German movement.Back of the case is marked: Seth Thomas Div. of General Time Corp. Thomaston, Conn. U.S.A. --- there is also a sticker on the back of the clock that reads: HELMSMAN E537-001 Seth Thomas Div. of General Time Corp., Thomaston, Conn. U.S.A. Please see the pictures as they are part of the description.HIGHLIGHTS:The GOOD:Clock is in good shape and keeps accurate time. (see pictures)The BAD:The glass is broken out of the front of the clock. Could not get the brass front to screw off. I put PB Blaster on it and could not break it loose. Wound up the spring for the bell, but the chime did not work. Not sure if the switch for silent or chime is stuck in the silent mode or just not working. The switch does move. There is a small crack in the brass case from front to back (about ¾ the way; see pictures) There is no key with this clock.The
