Rare Vintage Shriners 1 oz 999 Silver Art Bar by US Silver Corporation USSC-162

Item Information:

Up for bid is a very rare Shriners 999 Fine Silver Art bar made by the United States Silver Corporation (USSC). Back in the Silver bull market of the 1970's the USSC mint began striking a variety of art bars. Then in the1980's, due to rising silver prices, many of the bars were melted down for their content making this a rare survivor of the great silver meltdown.

This particular bar was minted in 1973 and the mintage is estimated to have been 5000 (A typical number in those days). This art bar pays tribute to the great work the Shriners do for our kids. On the front is the legenary Shriners logo along with their famous phrase, SHRINERS PLAY THAT CRIPPLED CHILDREN MAY WALK and SHRINERS HOSPITALSFOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN. On the back is the name of the mint, the content and the weight

The bar comes in the original protective plastic but does have some handling and beautiful toning along the edge.

Please note I try to describe each coin as accurately as possible. I also take exacting close-up photographs to give you every opportunity to examine the item. But, silver coins sometimes develop spots, they develop toning, protective capsules sometimes gets scratched. Please review everything I've presented to make your decision prior to bidding. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
