A super vintage silver charm in the form of an Egyptian sarcophagus that opens to reveal a silver gilt interior with an enamelled removable Mummy. The outside is decorated with blue & green enamel which is in very good condition. This item probably dates to the 1920's when all things Egyptian came into vogue following Carters' discovery of King Tut's tomb. It measures approx. 2.5cm in length and weighs 4.39g. It is stamped 800 on the inside edge. Quite often the little Mummy has been lost in the passage of time but this one is still present so worth a place in any collection.
