Very cool vintage novelty table lighter with a distinctive Western theme in the shape of a horse's head. This lighter is cast in a silvered metal alloy with very fine detail, and was made in Japan back in the 1950's-60's. The top of the horse's mane holds the lighter mechanism which reads "JAPAN" on the side. The lighter still sparks, but is empty of fuel. The base is shaped like a horseshoe which completes the Western theme. The underside is covered in faded green felt. The horse head lighter stands 3.5" tall, on a 2.25" by 2" horseshoe-shaped base, and weighs 9 oz. A wonderful old figural lighter for any Western Americana, equine, or lighter collection.
