Offered for your consideration is a unique vintage Smith & Wesson model 6041 Swing Blade Sporter pocketknife. Smith & Wesson offered this knife in a couple different designs including a double-edged boot knife. The knife features a unique design that's similar to the "Funny Folder" knives of custom maker Ted Dowell and A.G. Russell. The blade is completely enclosed in the handle and frame. With two simple motions the blade is deployed and solid in the open position. The design allows for safe carry that protects the blade when closed.The knife has never been used, carried, or sharpened and remains in excellent condition in its original box. It has not been cleaned or buffed and remains original. The shows a few light abrasions from handling and the box shows a bit of shelf wear. The knife was very solidly built and is the largest knife of this design that I've seen. It's much larger than the A.G. Russell and Executive model. The knife is very sturdy and the frame was crafted from 3/16" thick stainless steel stock. The knife funtions beautifully and the mechanics are very smooth. The thick blade has a bright satin finish. The handle frame was milled with shaped finger recesses on the bottom and offers a firm, comfortable grip.The knife measures just over 4" closed and just over 6-3/4" fully opened.The sheath is the original and remains
